It all started somewhere. You and me were created, just like any other thing in this universe. So what is the truth behind being creative? How are some people just naturally creators while others not?
You are reading this from your screen. The walls around you, the chair you’re sitting on, the clothes you’re wearing, the phone in your hand, or your computer were just a thought in someone’s head that led to a creation that was developed enough to make it out of their head to other people’s hands.
When we stop creating, we cease to exist.
Creating a family ensures the world will continue to have people once the current adults grow older and eventually die. Creating a piece of technology ensures a solution to a problem, a quicker process of doing a task, and a time-saving solution to do more humanly things like… creating.
So it’s all about creating.
The art of the creative process
I have previously mapped different versions of what an art process or a process of creation might look like depending on your niche or field of interest.

But, can we take a moment to think of this? WE COULD CREATE ANYTHING WITH THE POWER OF A SINGLE THOUGHT.
The truth behind being creative
The ability to create is a default setting, the will to create is a choice, and the act of creating is a proof of our existence. I create, therefore I am.
How to decide when, where and what to create?
You simply don’t decide. You just create. Using your means, your thoughts, and turning the world around you off to tune in. Listening and looking inward gets you to create what you are meant to.
Creating is beyond art. Art is a form of creation.
In a previous article, I talked about how paintings are made out of paintings. And what I mean by that is that we naturally have a tendency to create, and once we start creating we keep on creating. Once we stop however, it becomes very hard to create again. As a human, you are a creator and a curator.
Referencing one of my favorite books that talk about the dilemma of originality in art and how to keep creating.
Hear me out, you can’t be a creator if you don’t start curating. As a beginner, as a child, you’re not required to analyze or produce, you are in your input era. The more inputs you have, the better your chance to “create” grows. Your influences, thoughts that you loved from others, and pieces of knowledge will become the inspiration for your work, but it won’t be just that! You will have created work that sucked and collected useful critiques from your audience, friends, family, etc. and you will have your personal experiences as well as thoughts from different sources which will create a unique voice, a voice that is solely yours; Because not only is the human hand incapable of reproducing the exact same copies, but our brains are also incapable of reproducing the exact same data.
Conclusion
This article is our reminder to create something today. For no other reason but proving our existence. So, what will you create to prove your existence?
Enjoy creating <3
