6 Art Museums in Florence: The masterpieces you need to see

1. Monet’s house and gardens in Giverny, France

Monet’s house and gardens has been a dream destination of mine for as long as I can remember. This is the place that inspired Monet’s artworks and it is gorgeous. Here you can see spring in its fullest bloom and beauty while also feeding your art inspiration.

This is one of my top art destinations to visit this spring especially if you are planning on visiting Paris or France in general. As you can book a half-day trip to Giverny where you will not have to worry about anything. Just meet up with the group in your meeting point and the rest is up to the guide to handle (transportation, tickets and audio-guided tour included). You can book it here.

2. Following the steps of Vincent Van Gogh in Arles, south of France

Although Van Gogh was a dutch artist, the highlights of his career and 184 of his iconic paintings were painted and inspired by Arles. In this southern french gem, you can follow his footsteps, see where he lived and where he hang out and what he painted during his stay.

If you are interested in booking this trip, you can do so through this link.

3. Hallstatt, Austria. A paradise for artists.

Hallstatt is a breathtaking spring destination for sure but my choice to include it in this list goes to The brook Waldbach, and The Waldbachstrub waterfall. The most famous painters of the Austrian Romantic period set up their easels here. A stream with wild torrents of clear water, with numerous boulders in the stream bed, surrounded by trees. The colors of the stream change with the seasons, but they are always gloomy and the area constantly seems eerie, with a special attraction for painters in particular. It was the ideal spot for the Romantics of the 19th Century.

So if you happen to be in Vienna this spring, you can book a day-trip to Hallstatt to see this wonderful town, Alpine peaks, and mirror lakes. You can book your trip here.
