I will share 5 fun cardboard crafts for children in this article that I hope you will try. What’s a better activity than distracting your kid from the screen and getting them to create something with their hands that will help them develop their cognitive function and get crafty and artsy? Cardboard crafts are the cheapest and most accessible way to turn your kid’s or student’s playtime into a fun creative art-making session.

The crafts included in this post:

  • Cardboard kitten with a sweater
  • Craft House
  • Cardboard cut away house
  • Paysage cut-outs
  • The bear with teeth

Cardboard kitten with a sweater

I found this craft idea on the artprojectsforkids.org website. I love how cute and creative the project is. So for you to help your children or students create this kitten with a sweater craft, you are going to need:

Steps to making your craft:

  1. PREP: Pre-cut kitten shapes are shown, as it takes adult scissors to cut through the corrugated cardboard.
  2. Draw the face with a black marker. White markers are used to fill in the eyes.
  3. Rub the entire cat with a peeled crayon for added color.
  4. A notch is cut on the neck with scissors. One end of about a 7-yard piece of yarn is tucked and wrapped around. Take care to go under the middle-bent tab when it is reached.
  5. Punch holes in the cheeks with a pencil and stick in wires for whiskers.

Craft House

The second cardboard craft for children that I want to add to this article is a cardboard craft house.
